FW: Project PAVE - Group Opportunities

 

 

PAVE in the Park:  Building a Path

Who?  Girls and Boys aged 9-12, whom are at-risk or have experienced relationship violence and/or abuse.

 

What?  Fun, experiential psycho-educational group, based at PAVE with activities nearby as well. 

 

Why?  Children need safe environments to learn positive interactions, especially in summer.

 

How? Activities are focused on self-esteem, healthy relationships, better choices and anger management.

 

When?  An 8-week group, on Tuesdays from 4-5:30pm.  Beginning JUNE 16th and ending on AUGUST 11th.  There will be no group on 7/7/09 (Tuesday after July 4th).

Healthy Relationships Group

Who?  Adolescent teen girls, ages 15-18 years, that are interested in learning about healthy relationships, at-risk of dating violence, or are already in unhealthy dating relationships.  The group is also ideal for young women that have witnessed domestic violence in their families.

 

What?  Psycho-educational counseling group for young women.

 

Why?  Young women need supportive environments to explore relevant issues in their lives.

 

How? Interactive, educational activities with a focus on learning from group members’ life experiences.

 

When?  A 10-week group, on Tuesdays from 4-5:30pm.  Beginning on JULY 7th  and ending on SEPTEMBER 8th
