Become a Colorado CGA and CGR Expert
This low-cost workshop is designed to build your organization’s ability to win competitive grants and how you can use your grant reports to position yourself for future funding success. The three-hour session, which is being offered around the state, will focus on best practices of the Common Grant Application and preparing for the new Common Grant Report Form, publicly launched in July 2009.
Since its launch in summer 2008, the revised Common Grant Application (CGA) has been adopted by more than 90 Colorado funders. Grantmakers and grantseekers have identified some of the common errors that writers make in their application. This training will cover the best practices of the CGA and how to avoid the CGA mistakes made by grantwriters from across the spectrum of experience.
The second part of the training will cover the revised Common Grant Report Form (CGR). The revised report represents a significant revision and improvement over the CGR currently in use, and consequently will require different kinds of answers than the current CGR. Don’t wait until your new CGR is due to start learning how to address its new questions.

This comprehensive training has been created and marketed through a partnership between the Community Resource Center, the Colorado Nonprofit Association and JVA Consulting. These three capacity building organizations have worked diligently to provide trainings across Colorado during the months following the public release of the revised Common Grant Report.
