Youth Apprentice Competition

Denver, CO - Dr. Randal Pinkett, Season 4 winner of the NBC’s “The Apprentice” and CEO of BCT Partners is coming to town as part of the 5th Annual Economic Summit and Expo being held on Friday, June 5th, 2009 at the Colorado Convention Center. Pinkett, along with several Colorado government officials and business leaders, will judge and decide the winner of the MRBES Youth Apprentice competition.

The competition, which is a new addition to the Summit this year, challenges Colorado students, grades 9-12, to propose and present a solution that addresses the continually rising high school dropout rates. Each team of high school students will be assigned adult coaches who will help them formulate their ideas and bring them to life for an exciting presentation before the judges.
The winning team will share a cash award of $1500. All youth will receive a prize for participating. Of course, the true reward is the opportunity the students will have to give hands on attention to a ‘real world’ problem that affects everyone in Colorado.
Interested students are encouraged to visit www.mrbes.com/youth.html to download an application or sign up online. All applications must be submitted by May 1st, 2009. For more information, students can call 303-400-5928 or email youth@mrbes.com.
