Broken Connections: Supporting the Traumatized Child at Home

Sensory Integration Problems & How They Affect Sleep and Toileting in Traumatized Children

This course addresses specific sensory integration difficulties commonly exhibited by traumatized children. It explores how sensory integration impairments influence a child’s regulatory systems, specifically sleep and toileting.

The course begins with an overview of brain development and functioning, and the many ways in which the brain could be altered by traumatic events. It teaches professionals and families how to assess for and define sleep and toileting problems. Specific interventions will be reviewed and adaptations for use in therapy and at home will be discussed.

Cost: $95 per person

$75 per person for groups of 4 or more registering from the same agency

$45 student rate w/ valid student ID

$115 after June 3 at noon or day of event
